Our business was started by William Jones five generations ago in 1858.  His son Arthur F. Jones continued it and incorporated our present trading name A. F. JONES.  Since these two pioneering gentlemen, Alan, Graham and more recently Angus Jones, have managed A. F Jones Stonemasons.  Angus' experience over the last 20 years in all forms of masonry and conservation is second to none. We have a commitment to client satisfaction in all the specialist sections of the craft of stonemasonry.
       Our workmanship both in production of worked stone and site fixing is of the highest quality.  Our work force undertakes many projects for Churches, English Heritage, National Trust, Local Councils, private and historic buildings.  We have an active apprentice recruitment policy and value our craftsmen both for their contribution and expertise in the stonemasons field.

       We have evolved our production methods, fixing techniques and designs from 1965 to the present day.

       We are equipped with 3 CNC, 3 Axis saws, 2 3 Axis CNC work centres and 1 5 axis CNC multi function machine.
       In short we have the capacity to handle large and small projects to precise tolerances and with a sensible turnaround time.
       All our masons are apprenticed time served craftsmen, from first year apprentice this year Jonathan Rayfield to David Barefield apprenticed in 1955.
