The Ardosia Slate Company is a family concern that has been involved in the production and use of slate since 1984 and has established strong links with producers in Brazil over a period of many years. On his latest visit, Managing Director Steve Pugsley, after months of searching and thousands of miles of driving over unclassified roads, has purchased and opened a new Black Slate Quarry. This means that Ardosia Slate will now be able to guarantee continuity of supply of their high quality Brazilian slate products and related services, to our customers. This control of the supply chain means that we can maintain the very keen prices that our customers demand.

We have a large facility in Barnstaple, North Devon which is dedicated to the storage and supply of our Brazilian slate products. Substantial stocks of the majority of our products are always held at our warehouse in the Southwest, to satisfy the requirements of both retail and trade customers. Where we do not hold stock, orders can be taken and a schedule of delivery agreed. In addition, we are always pleased to receive enquiries for large quantities, or ‘container loads’ for delivery F.O.B...

There is a show room on site, frequently updated, which displays most of our products and provides an insight into their use and appearance. Ardosia's range of Brazilian slate products is extremely hard wearing and does not discolour but becomes more attractive with age.

Our skilled, local craftsmen are also on site to provide a cutting and finishing service. They are always available to give customers the benefit of their experience on the use and installation of the various products. We do of course hold stock of adhesives, grouts and finishing products, with which our craftsmen are familiar. Fabrication of ‘special order’ items is also undertaken in our workshop in Devon, England.

Our delivery service, either direct by our own vehicles or using tried and tested contractors are available where necessary and will provide the appropriate vehicle. i.e. flatbed for forklift offloading, hiab for crane offloading, or tail lift for pallet truck offloading.
