Community Commitment

Opustone is wholly committed to the betterment of our community. Over the years, we have participated with a number of organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Haiti earthquake relief efforts and OSHA. We look to create a healthy community that we work and live in.

Environmental Stand

We are committed to environmental responsibility and sustainability. Our line of Santa Margherita quartz is made from either natural marble or natural quartz aggregate and filler combined with a special polyester thermal set resin binder. Through this process, Santa Margherita is able to re-appropriate old stones that may otherwise be discarded to landfills. When selecting our natural stones, careful consideration is taken when selecting our quarries to make sure they align with our environmental standards. Once the stone is quarried, Opustone participates in restoration of the environment. Even our facilities have been outfitted to be as sustainable as possible. More than 70% of our facilities contain energy efficient CFL light bulbs with automatic sensors to turn the lighting system off when an area is not in use. To move materials around our facilities, our forklifts run on energy-efficient propane. To combat the release of carbon monoxide, each forklift is fitted with custom emission control kits that also make them more efficient.
