Blasius Inc. is a family owned and operated company located in Vassar, Michigan. Our reputation for quality workmanship and integrity started in 1963 when Val Blasius began doing odd jobs to supplement his farm income. Soon farming gave way to full time carpentry/remodeling work. Specializing in bath and kitchen remodels, Val did everything from tile and wood floors to cabinets and countertops. In the 1970′s when Corian® was introduced, little did he know it would become the backbone of a thriving family business.

By the 1990′s, Val’s reputation for ceramic tile and Corian® countertop installation was bringing in more work than he could do. Jon, his son, had gone out on his own in the remodel industry at the time. He was doing tile and Corian® countertops out of the same shop.

In 1993 Val hired son-in-law Mike Damm to help meet the demand.

By 1994 Jon had also hired his first employee and had shifted his focus primarily to Corian® Countertops.

As their reputations spread and the work load increased, it was obvious that two separate but somewhat interconnected companies working out of the same small shop would benefit by consolidating.

In 1996, these two companies dissolved and a new company was formed from the partnership of Val Blasius, his son Jon, son-in-law Mike Damm, and son-in-law Dave Bogert. Dave left his position at the Vassar Building Center to join in this venture.

From the collective strengths of each of these four family members emerged a new corporation aptly named Blasius Incorporated.

Since that time, Blasius Inc. has grown into one of Michigan’s largest solid surface and quartz countertop fabricators while continuing to focus on quality fabrication, installation, and service. Our product line has also grown to meet the needs of our customers. Products offered now include: Cambria®, Corian®, granite and more.

By keeping service and reliability a key priority and by continually improving and preparing for the future with an eye for growth, Blasius Inc. has set themselves apart from the crowd.
