Delos Mosaics was started on June 12, 1992 after a short telephone conversation when Eddie asked Hrair, "Do you want to start a mosaic company?" For two years preparations were made, while samples and clients were sought. Hrair and Eddie worked their jobs during the day and worked on the company at night. We worked every day, 7 days a week till 11:00 pm, after which we would go out for drinks and talk about business, " Hrair fondly remembers. On September of 1994 the company was ready. Eddie and Hrair left their stable jobs and launched the new company out of Eddies garage. "We did a few odd jobs the first 6 months, but spent most of our time throwing tessarae pieces at the phone asking for it ring, says Hrair. The phone began to ring in June of 1995 and hasnt stopped. "We remember those days all the time. We played basketball in my driveway and talked about how much to quote for a certain projects, " Eddie remembers. Through the years as Delos has grown and changed it has gone through a lot of growing pains. Starting out as a custom mosaic company, it has evolved into a company with over 20 production lines which still maintains a strong custom background. The companys formidable production team includes 3 full-time custom designers and an experienced crew of mosaic artisans. "We are definitely a family here at Delos, " Eddie says. "I have known Hrair since we were 5 years old. We grew up together, and the way we treat each other as friends first is visible to all who work here. They in turn feel the same way about us, and each other." "We have been very lucky, says Hrair. We have a lot to be thankful for, and many people to thank. When we started we didnt know anything about this business. We will always be grateful to the wonderful people we met who had faith in us and provided us with guidance and expert advice."
