Ed Carbonneau established Hillside Saw Plant, Inc. in 1954 to provide quality custom wire sawing services to local granite manufacturers. Today, with the help of his son, Randy Carbonneau, plant manager, and daughter, Sarah Somerville, corporate secretary, more than half of Hillside''s business is in the production of granite building products. These building products include the firm''s line of custom CarbonCraft (counters, table tops, and other nonmonumental granite products).More recently, the firm changed its corporate name to Hillside Stone Products, Inc. and also purchased the stone-working equipment of Grearson & Lane Company.
