Melbury Greenstone specialise in genuine Shaftesbury Greenstone which until recently had not been quarried for many decades but with the reopening of this old quarry we are now able to offer this much sort after product. Although the bulk of cut and dressed stone is for general building purposes we also have vastly experienced banker masons to enable us to work all aspects of worked stone. Although we specialise in Greenstone all other stones are available for cutting and worked stone. Stone is natural product and we believe that we can offer a superior service for cutting or crafting of this aristocrat of building materials. Our objective is to bring together the natural product with the craft of stonemasonry for the restoration of older properties or for the new build in areas where natural stone will mellow along with their older neighbours, as unlike reconstructed stone, natural stone adds to visual appeal and becomes more attractive with age....
