MERMERIT was founded in 1977 as a subsidiary of Ege Yildiz A.S, a leading company in the field of plastics industry, for the purpose of manufacturing cultured marble and cultured granite sanitary ware. The intention was to enhance the quality of kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors manufactured and marketed by Ege Yildiz. As years went by, the product quality and capacity of Mermerit increased which not only allowed the company to enlarge its market share in Turkey but also to start exports. Now Mermerit supplies a substantial amount of shower basins for Hüppe, a prominent company in its field in Germany. Among the countries Mermerit products are exported to are; Austria, Romania, Hungary, Belgium, Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia.
