![]() May 1967 - Thomas and Joseph Paone, Jr. with the aide of Joseph Paone, Sr. establish Paone Woodworking Corporation at Germantown Ave. and Wister St., Philadelphia 1968 - Disaster strikes as devastating fire destroys building. Surviving items include an ax head and two ball weights. These become the company logo. 1969 - Building at 2030 E. Willard St., Philadelphia, is purchased and becomes the new home of Paone. 1969 - Paone secures first store fixture contract for prominent Philadelphia convenience store chain. 1976 - Tenth Anniversary 1976 - Paone begins production level manufacturing for international amusement game company requiring purchase of computer controlled wood cutting and boring machinery. SCMI panel saws and overhead router purchased. 1979 - Paone expands with purchase of second building. 1982 - Cabinet and assembly shop created in new building. Existing space converted to offices and drafting rooms. 1984 - Paone moves to European 32mm system. Holier edge banding machine, SCMI and Gannomat boring machines, SCMI planer and sander purchased. 1986 - Paone begins manufacturing custom woodwork for many Atlantic City casinos. 1991 - Purchase of SCMI panel saw and Morbidelli boring machine. Implementation of CAD for drafting and design.
