Proton was the first Brazilian company to win the "Stone of the Month" award from the most important American Stone Magazine, "Stone World Magazine", with its granite "Verniz Tropical" in December 1998.
       Proton was founded in 1996, mining on its own quarries located in Espírito Santo state, producing the VERNIZ TROPICAL, and Parana state, where the TUNAS CLASSICO was produced.
       In 1998 Proton improved its activities, processing slabs at its new industry at Serra ES.
       At this time a new material was introduced, the well known SEA FOAM GREEN, mined in one of our quarries in the south of Brazil. Recently two new materials were released, the super exotics Vulcano and Molokai.
       In January 2008, we won again the "Stone of the Month" with our super exotic "Vulcano", which was a sucess at Vitoria International Stone Show.
       Nowadays, Próton industry operates in Vitória (ES) with a modern technology, producing slabs, tiles and pre-fabricated products for domestic and export markets.
       The operation success consolidated with the supply of the exclusives granites "Sea Foam Green Classic", Molokai and "Vulcano.
