       ARATA is, in the slate field, a synonym of quality, because we unite the most modern techniques of working with over a hundred years’ experience: in fact, slate was discovered again at the end of 1800 thanks to us.
       Slate has been used for centuries for roof coverings, floorings, claddings and interior decoration as a mere handicraft; then our family began to work it to an industrial extent, by promoting it all over the world. 
       Slate, thanks to its beautiful, unique colour, that varies from dark-blue to a sort of black-grey, and to its original “warm” and “soft” surface particularly when natural cleft, is elegant, classical and modern at the same time. Our stone is also 100% natural and ecological, so we can say:slate is really unique.
