Owned and operated since 2006 by Batesville, Indiana, residents Pete and Marlene Wukusick, The Stone Studio is the culmination of a lifelong passion for quality craftsmanship, natural materials, and beautiful design.

Several years ago, Pete began acquiring stone fabrication instruction and hands-on experience through training & communication with expert fabricators across the country.  In addition, Pete has over twenty-five years of experience in mechanical engineering design, coupled with an extensive history of woodworking, home construction, & remodeling experience.  Marlene, who has a degree in fine arts,  shares Pete's  passion & knack for design.  Our combined knowledge became the foundation for the company, that now offers local residents access to an expansive selection of natural stone, including a variety of granite, marble, limestone, onyx, quartzite, and soapstone--our specialty.  A large selection of soapstone is housed on site at our shop. Frequently, we are told that ours is the best selection in the tri-state area and beyond.
