Tyndale was founded in 1967 and originally traded from Tyndale Terrace in Camden Town London. The business was a typical labour only carpet fitting organisation and continued in this manner until the mid 1970’s when it was acquired by Derry Treanor Ltd (DTL), a contract carpet company in Hampstead, London. The two companies traded separately, although Tyndale did carry out some of the installation work for DTL and by the early 1980’s the business was offering supply as well as the installation of flooring. However, DTL and Tyndale began to move apart and in 1990 they completely separated.
