According to the organizing committee, a total of 23 finalists made the final cut in the competition, which included a scenic spot introduction, self-introduction, swimsuit and nightgown catwalks, and talent shows.
Mi Yue, a female student from Xiamen University of Technology, edged out the other 22 finalists to be crowned Miss Tourism Culture World Fujian in 2012. She also claimed the title of Fujian’s Tourism Culture Image Ambassador.
The Miss Tourism Culture World competition made its debut in China in 2011 and was held in Fujian for the first time this year.
Mi Yue, along with the runner-up and second runner-up, are scheduled to compete in the final at the ninth Miss Tourism Culture World China held in Sanya in November.
