BEIJING, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Congratulations continued to flow in from countries, political parties and friendship organizations around the world to Xi Jinping on his election as general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee.
Donald Ramotar, president of the Republic of Guyana, said in his message: "On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Guyana, and my own behalf, I wish to extend warm congratulations to you on your election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPC."
"I wish you every success as you continue to pursue the goals and objectives for the further economic and social development of your country and its people," Ramotar said, adding that "I look forward to working with you towards the preservation of these bonds and the promotion of greater cooperation and collaboration between our countries at both the bilateral and multilateral levels."
Ivica Dacic, Serbian prime minister, interior minister and leader of the Socialist Party, said: "I am convinced that you will continue running the country as well as your predecessor and that China will continue decades of extraordinary growth."
"Great responsibility lies ahead of you, being the leader of one of the most powerful countries in the world, but I am convinced that a man of your skills is up to the challenge," he said, adding that "I am looking forward to further cooperation of our parties as well as our countries."
Portia Simpson Miller, president of Jamaica's People's National Party and Prime Minister of Jamaica, said in her message: "The People's National Party is looking forward to working with the CPC under your distinguished leadership to cement even further the close relationship between our two Parties."
"I am convinced that the friendly partnership that now exists will be deepened under your administration," she said, adding that "I wish and do believe that the CPC and China will experience even greater achievements under your leadership."
Aleksandar Vucic, president of the Serbian Progressive Party, first deputy prime minister of Serbia and minister of defense, said in his message that "I am convinced that under your leadership, the CPC will continue to build a great and prosperous China and make it an indispensable power in today's world's politics and economy on the path opened up by its predecessors."
The Serbian Progressive Party will continue to work for the friendly cooperation with the CPC, Vucic said.
Fernando La Sama de Araujo, president of the Democratic Party of East Timor congratulated Xi on his election as general secretary of the CPC Central Committee. He wished that the CPC, under Xi's leadership, will achieve many successes.
Aburizal Bakrie, chairman of the Golkar Party of Indonesia, and Idrus Marham, the party's secretary general, said in their congratulatory message that it is their distinct honor and pleasure, on their behalf and on behalf of the Central Board of the Golkar Party, to extend their most sincere congratulations on Xi's election.
"We avail ourselves of this solemn occasion to express our satisfaction with the ongoing good and harmonious relations between our two parties which are being developed and built in the spirit of shared commitment to prosperous peoples of China and Indonesia," the message said.

Imran Khan, chairman of the Pakistan Movement for Justice (PTI), said the country was proud of the profound friendship between Pakistan and China, and expects to further strengthen friendly exchanges with China and to promote the constant development of bilateral ties.
Khan said he believed China will play a constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Pierre Laurent, president of the European Left Party, and Maite Mola, vice president in charge of international relations, extended their greetings to Xi on his election as general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPC Central Military Commission, and wished Xi will make new achievements in his new jobs.
They said that China chose to attach great importance to the social welfare and environmental protection when the Chinese people are promoting the country's development, adding that this choice has decisive significance for not only the Chinese people but also the people of the world.
Oliviero Diliberto, secretary of the Party of Italian Communists (PDCI), said in his message that the PDCI has been closely following the CPC's deliberation on and innovative practice in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and is confident relations between the two peoples as well as the two parties will continue to forge ahead.
In his congratulatory note, Peter Goodfellow, president of the National Party of New Zealand, said: "We are impressed by China's great achievement in building a socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics over the past 30 years."
"That should be credited to the CPC for its strong leadership and unprecedented economic reform," he said.
"We believe that a strong relationship with the CPC will contribute to advancing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between our two nations," Goodfellow said.
In his message, David Shearer, leader of the New Zealand Labour Party, said: "I look forward to working with you to foster the on-going and strong relationship that exists between our two countries, building on yhour successful visit to New Zealand in 2010."
Congratulating Xi on his election as the CPC leader,the African National Congress (ANC) said: "The newly elected Political Bureau members of the 18th CPC Central Committee, having been tried and tested in the party and shop floor, are the best cadres to be entrusted with the important task of taking the People's Republic of China forward."
"We are confident that comrade Xi Jinping and his illustrious team will lead the People's Republic of China to great heights," the ANC said.
