Founded on July 21st, 1975 under the name of Celma Indústria de Pisos Refratários Ltda, installed in an area of 120.000 sqmt with 15.000 sqmt of built area, in the city of Mafra - Santa Catarina, Casagrande started the production of refractory ceramics.
       On June 30th, 1985, the company alters the name to Casagrande Pisos Ceramicos Ltda, integrating the group "R.Casagrande" constituted of trucks and wood industry commerce. In 1986, with the double-fire system, the Company ingresses in the market of glazed ceramic floor tiles. Through a modern process, the most advanced Italian equipment was acquired on July 13th, 1987, transforming the production into single-fire, dry system.
        In the end of 1998 Casagrande diversifies the size production to 30x30, 43x43 and 30x43 cm. Consolidating its presence in the ceramic tile market, in December 2003, Casagrande inaugurates the second industry unit with an area of 64.000 sqmt and 12.000 sqmt of built area in the city of Rio Negrinho - Santa Catarina, increasing the production capacity to 700.000 sqmt per month.
