       The Edstein name traces back to 1896 when it commenced as a small family runmonumental masonry business in the Hunter area, in the time since many of thetraditional values and skills have remained and we have gained valuable experiencealong the way.
       The McMurtrie's have operated stone masonry operations since 1880. John Robert McMurtrie  moved to Lithgow to work with his son Edward Claude at their monumentalworks called E.McMurtrie & Sons in the 1920's before opening up monumental works inForbes , Western Districts of NSW and Temora. Edward Claude then purchased themonumental business in the CBD of Gosford in 1953 with his sons Stan and Alanretaining the name E.McMurtrie & Sons.
