NECROEXPO is the most important exhibition for this line of business in Poland. In 2011 the fair hosted the guests form as many as 19 countries; Canada, Italy, Estonia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Denmark, Hungary, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, France, Ukraine and Poland – the total of 1500 people. The new models of coffins launched into the market, urns made of wood and metal which come in all shapes and colours and some models set with 2 thousand crystals, state of the art computer software for funeral service management or for cemetery administration, lasers for making engravings on coffins and urns; to exemplify just a few of ideas and novelties presented from 3rd to 5th June at the largest fair devoted to funeral and cemetery line of business held in Targi Kielce.
The fourth edition of NECROEXPO brought together 100 exhibitors from all over Poland and also form Sweden, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Ukraine, Germany and France. The companies which deal in coffin, urn and sarcophagus as well as funeral ceremony accessories production presented their latest offer. The exhibition creates a unique chance to become familiar with the diversity of offer in this business sector ranging from transport services, through conducting a funeral ceremony to cemetery maintenance and administration. The trade fair is held every other year.
Among numerous novelties there were Stoltur coffins, wooden urns at the exhibition stand of Anmar and the most technologically advanced laser machine for engravings delivered by Grav-Tech. On the top of that TuSoft IT Systems put on display the software targeted at broadly defined Polish funeral business sector. Funeral System makes it possible to streamline the organisational processes and to enhance customer management services. The exhibition showcased also ecological cardboard coffins used for cremation, air-conditioned coffins and American movie-style caskets. The most expensive urn of the exhibition was the urn set with 2 thousand Svarowski crystals at the price of over 2 thousand PLN. Luxurious hearses worth about half a million PLN were also presented in Kielce. The fair visitors also had a chance to familiarise themselves with the whole variety of cosmetics used for cadaver reconstruction and make-up.
NECROEXPO is much more than the exhibition stands. The business insiders have the chance to extend their knowledge on almost every aspect of the professional life; the exhibition programme encompassed the training sessions devoted to the problems of financing historic monuments and commemoration places in the framework of EU programmes and the competences of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the meetings on professional commentary administration, funeral services profitability increase. Other meetings mainly focused on post-mortem cosmetology and in particular on the cadaver preservation, new embalm technologies, post mortem cosmetology and visage, post mortem reconstruction and temporal body preservation.
Additionally this year’s Fair was accompanied by the Stock Exchange of Used Hearses and Electric Vehicles as well as by the film shows of “Cudowne Lato” (“Wonderful Summer”) held every day during the fair. The film was shot here during the NECROEXPO 2009 fair. In Kielce the film makers produced the stage design of the stone master Edgar’s exhibition stand. In one of the film scenes shot here Edgar is presented with the fair award for the best grave stone design. The film directed by Rysztard Bryslki features Helena Sujecka, Katarzyna Figura, Jerzy Trela, Marcin Łuczak, Cezary Łukaszewicz –simply speaking the greatest Polish cinema stars. The film is not available on DVD and it was the fist chance to see the film on a big screen outside the cinema.
