Prevent Dirt Buildup Regular cleaning is the best way to maintain your tiles. Preventing the buildup of dust and dirt helps you to avoid a serious, time consuming cleaning process. Use vacuum cleaner attachments to vacuum away dirt, dust and pollen. Sweep tumbled stone floors with a soft-bristled broom.

 

Be Product Specific Standard ceramic tile cleaners will damage your tiles. Tumbled stone tiles are porous and will “soak in” the cleaner, ultimately making your stone look dull and dirty instead of clean. Purchase a product that is specifically for tumbled stone and check the label for harsh chemical such as bleach.

 

Seep-Out Stains Remove stains from your tumbled stone using a stone poultice; use sparsely on polished stone as the poultice will remove the shine. Shine can be restored using marble polish.
