"Heshuo County attracted 2.5 billion Yuan of investment, focused on the development and utilization of nonmetallic mineral resources." Lin Gang, the director of Heshuo County Economic Development Zone Management Committee, said on Dec. 4th.

It is known that Heshuo County has rich mineral resources, mainly are nonmetallic mineral resources such as limestone, marble, granite, and industrial salt and so on. The county planed and built stone industrial park in the eastern area of the county, and the scale is just ranked after Qitai County’s. Until now, there are 27 stone processing enterprises and 30 individual stone processing workshops in the stone industrial park, and the annual processing tiles & slabs reached 2.5 million square meters, has become the largest stone processing and distributing area in the south Xinjiang. Before the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan, the county makes great efforts to achieve processing more than 5 million square meters of tiles & slabs, and 300 million Yuan of production value.
