The Bremen Exhibition Centre is a department of Bremen Economic Development Corp. (WFB Wirtschaftsförderung Bremen GmbH). Altogether, 54 events - 20 of them were held at the Bremen Exhibition Centre in 2010 and together they drew about 349,000 visitors to the halls. In the same year, 8,580 exhibitors used about 405,000 m² gross exhibition space to present their products and services.

Halls 1 (Bremen Arena), 2 and 3 were built in 1963. Halls 4 to 6 went into operation in 1997, together with the car park and the offices. Hall 7 was added in 2002, and the Bremen Congress Centre was opend in 1992.
