The new gate of Wuhan Zhongshan Park will show its real appearance next week. The new gate restores 1956 version one.

The sesame white granite statue was showed at first, with the appearance of 4 flags crossing and sickles, hammers, and five-pointed star.
 

It’s introduced that the shadow carving and decoration of statue use the sesame white granite. The flag are cube with about 3 meters diameter and there is not so large stone, so the flag is made from glass reinforced plastic. The surface is sprayed of artificial sesame white lacquer to make the statue look harmony.

Sesame White

The Sesame White is a light white coloured granite, with thin to medium grain and fairly uniform background. Its background colour is mostly white, but with some occasional black coloured areas and some light brown coloured areas with medium dimension. Its main variations depend on the uniformity and grain thickness.

The Sesame White granite can accept well most types of finishings. However the type of finishing that clearly gives the most credit to this granite is the polished one. It is also common to find honed, bush-hammered and flamed finishings.
