“From this year, Xiamen International Stone Center achieved great promoting result under the support of municipal Party committee and municipal government. Until now, about 80 companies have confirmed to join in, including famous stone companies at home even abroad among these 80 companies.” Xu Rongqi, who is the president of Fujian Stone Industry Association and the chairman of Xiamen Stone Chamber, told journalist while pointing to the decorating Xiamen International Stone Center building. The office building in Wuyuan Bay area will drive stone processing and trading in Southern Fujian, even more, it will be the “international stone center” spread to the world.

According to the general statistics, more than 1200 stone import and export companies located in Xiamen, and about 6000 stone processing factories are around Xiamen. Besides, Xiamen International Stone Fair holds every year, which is attracting to global stone companies as it aims at the global greatest stone fair MARMOMACC.

A report from Xiamen Customs District shows that 4332.7 thousand ton stones were exported from Xiamen Port from Jan. to Nov. this year, which is worth 2 billion USD. It respectively covers 63% and 70.17% of national stone export volume and value in the same period, and ranks the top in the national stone output value, production volume, and export earnings.
