Known from the Publicity Department of Quyang County Party Committee, there are two stone carving & sculpture companies in Quyang were chosen for the key enterprises of National Culture Export.

It is known that this selection was lead by Ministry of Commerce of the P. R. China, and other departments also co-participated including the Propaganda Department of the CPC, Ministry of Culture of the P. R. China, and General Administration of Press and Publication of the the P. R. China. After surveying the situation of Hebei culture trading, they finally chose 13 Hebei enterprises as the key enterprises of National Culture Industry Export, and issued the Certificate.

According to report, Quyang Sculpture was started from Han Dynasty, developed in Tan, and flourished in Yuan. Quyang was named as China Sculpture Town in 1995. And in 2006, Quyang Sculpture was ranked in the first batch of national non-material cultural heritage list. Recent years, Quyang set the strategic goal of “Powerful Cultural County”, and strongly support the developing of carving & sculpture, porcelain and clay sculpture etc cultural industry. At present, the sculpture & carving industry of the county has influenced 10 towns and about 60 villages, employed 100 thousand people, with 4 billion Yuan of annual output value.

Quyang County was ranked in Hebei Top 10 Cultural Industry County in Oct. 2012. Quyang Sculpture Cultural Industy Park was ranked in Hebei Top 10 Cultural Industry Cluster.
