Li Xinyong, the master of industrial art from Shandong Province, is doing last modification for the stone carving “The China Spirit”
 

Recently, a large stone carving was appeared in Zibo. This work was made by the master of art Li Xinyong etc totally 4 persons for about 2 months. The work shows a giant Chinese dragon with its head held high and windingly circling around the Great Wall and the Earth. The origin stone is a red-silk stone with 2.1m height, 1.1m width, and 0.75m thickness. The carving uses 5 main carving skills as piercing, deep carving, three-dimensional carving, embossing, line carving. The three-dimensional carving is used for base, linked by deep carving, piercing as the support point, embossing as the decorating, line carving as the halving line. Although the modeling division of work is obvious, the real carving is associated, which make the art work look as unity. The carving means the motherland prosperity and strength, and rising rapidly. It is reported that this work will declare the Guinness Book of World Records.
