Xinjiang Stone Chamber was formally established in Urumqi Haida Hotel on April 19th. Related leaders of Autonomous Region, and the leaders and members of the Chamber were present and held the ribbon-cutting ceremony. About one thousand members of the Chamber from various regions of Xinjiang gathered together.

 

According to the introduction, Xinjiang have rich stone resources which covers a large rate in China. Its stone reserve is very large and the quality is also superior, and its export quantity is also large. In order to enhance the regularized operation and healthy development of Xinjiang stone industry and to open larger market, about one thousand stone merchants joined up to establish the Xinjiang Stone Chamber. The Chamber will realize its function of ruling, supervising, serving Xinjiang stone industry to assist government management, to serve for enterprises, to lead member enterprises operating legally, to promote stone industry developing well.

 

According to the introduction by Fan Xiuju who is the director of Xinjiang Stone Chamber, there are about 180 enterprises engaged in stone quarrying and processing, about 2000 stone agencies, and about 100 thousand employees in Xinjiang. They will bring new development and new trends for Xinjiang stone industry, which promote the scale of Xinjiang stone industry larger.
