The relative departments of Wangcang County reached a preliminary cooperation intention with Fujian Bonan Stone and Quanshang (Xiamen) Limited Liability Company on cooperation of comprehensive exploring and making use of the stone resources within the county and developing pillar stone industries. It is planned to invest 3 billion Yuan to build a Northeast Sichuan Stone Manufacturing Base and Stone Showroom and Trade Base in the county.
It is said that the project will cover an area of 1000 Mu, and build 50 stone production lines, which forms production capacity of 1 million m³ annual mining blocks, 10 million ㎡ stone tiles and slabs, and 500 thousand sets of stone carving and sculpture craftworks. The project will be separated as 3 phases. The total output value will reach 3.5 billion Yuan and solve 3000 peoples’ jobs.
