Italian-based Pramar Company has transcended beyond the constraints with the help of new technology, allowing the use of natural stone around the source of the flames. This gives designers a whole new gamut of possibilities – albeit within the realm of top-of-the-line kitchens.

Pramar treats the surface of their marble, slate, granite and newcomer onyx with a technology originating in aerospace technology. One type of stone has already withstood the test.

With the help of this technology, natural stone can be made impervious to heat and absolutely resistant to scratches. The surface is also made resistant to fat or grease through special impregnation. Just wipe with a sponge or cloth as is the case for other countertop surfaces. Pramar offers special cleaning sets for optimal care.
