According to Quanzhou Customs’ data, from January to October, 345 thousand tons of granite and its products (hereinafter referred to as stones) were exported from Quanzhou, almost flat with the same period of last year, covering 8% in the ratio of the same period of provincial stones export, valued 260 million USD which increased 10.6% year-on-year. In October, Quanzhou exported 44 thousand tons of stones, increased 32.9% year-on-year, valued 27.23 million USD which increased 12.6% year-on-year.

 

The type of export still depended on general trade export, and the main exported category was tombstones. Private enterprises export was dominant, whose export volume was upon half, which totally was 199 thousand tons, increased 11.7% year-on-year. It was mainly exported to Japan, ASEAN and USA, among that, the increasing volume of stones exported to ASEAN was the most remarkable, increased 1.2 times year-on-year. The stones exported to Japan were 116 thousand tons, decreased 8.1% year-on-year. The stones exported to USA were 42 thousand tons, increased 6.6% year-on-year.
