Yichang Stone Chamber Establishment Conference and the 1st Membership Representative Conference were held on Dec. 26th, 2013. Xiong Wei and Qu Peng, the leadership of Yichang City, attended the conferences and awarded for the chamber. Huang Zhenghong, the chairman of the board of Yichang Jinshi Building Materials Co. Ltd., was elected to be the first council president.

Xiong Wei, the member of municipal Standing Committee and the Director of United Front Work Department of Yichang City, said Yichang Stone Chamber should fulfill its functions, and give a vigorous boost to the healthy development of stone industry. He hope that the members would give full play to a strong teamwork spirit, create a new situation development of Yichang Stone Chamber, and contribute to build Yichang as a modernized large city.

It is known that there are about 100 stone quarrying enterprises in Yichang City, with about 1 billion Yuan of production value, and about 5000 employees at present.
