On August 29th, Huian Carving & Sculpture Culture Creative Industry Park was ranked in Fujian Top 10 Key Culture Creative Industry Park, the only one ranked in the list in Quanzhou. Huian County has 855 carving & sculpture companies, with 100 thousand workers and 15.14 billion Yuan output in total. In 2011, export value reached 7 billion Yuan, accounting for 43% of the national similar products.
Quanzhou Huian Carving & Sculpture Culture Creative Industry Park covers the whole Huian County, Chongwu and Shanxia town as the center zone, planning to build 5000 Mu Stone Carving & Sculpture Industry Park. The park will build the World Sculpture Park, Village of Carving & Sculpture Studio, Creative Design & Researching Center for Companies, Professional Market of Carving & Sculpture, Carving & Sculpture Exhibition Center, the Carving & Sculpture History Museum, etc. The park opens up a tourism line of carving & sculpture art, and will build centuries-old shop and culture galleria for carving & sculpture art. The end of this year, the 1st China (Huian) International Carving & Sculpture Arts Expo will be held in Huian. The Expo is themed by “Inheriting Carving & Sculpture Culture, Leading Creative Future”.
