Yunfu in Guangdong has reputation of “Stone Ancient City” for 400 years and is one of 3 great China stone industrial bases, which is the base for stone purchasing, also is the kingdom of stone selling. In order to build “stone carrier”, Yunfu introduced industry upgrading operators to start the build of China Yunfu International Stone Industrial Town to promote the stone industry upgrading. 

 

In 2011, In order to respond the strategic plan of Guangdong industries transformation and upgrading, Yunfu Municipal Party Committee and the People’s Government of Yunfu jointed with the Northern Investment Group Co., Ltd (NIG), a professional operator of China industry upgrading, to start the build of China Yunfu International Stone Industrial Town. It is known that the project is located in Silao Town in the Yunfu Hundred Meters Corridor of Stone, covering an area of 3000 Mu. The total investment value reaches 5 billion Yuan, which is the key construction project of Guangdong Province. It will be the largest and the highest level stone trade market in the world. 

 

According to the introduction, the total scale of the project is 2 million square meters, including international stone conference and exhibition center, boutique stone brands area, stone slabs show area, stone finishes show area, blocks show area, stone processing area, logistics and warehousing area, accessories area, stone industry culture museum, stone industry culture plaza, creative R&D center, and comprehensive business area and so on function areas. It thoroughly breaks the backward mode of traditional stone industry, and builds a one-stop purchasing platform of global stone according to the mode of large industry cluster with first level facilities and mall mode and many functions of blocks, processing, logistics, warehousing, R&D, and business and so on.
