According to data from Xiamen Haicang Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, in the first 3 quarters of 2013, 9102 batches of import stones were applied for inspection at Haicang Port, and the weight reached 2910.3 thousand tons, the value reached 543 million USD, respectively increased 8.62%, 6.13% and 17.28% year-on-year.

 

The origin countries of import stones at Haicang Port are various, mainly from USA, Canada, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Mid East and so on, about 40 countries and regions. Import stones are marbles and granites, among that, import marbles are 8039 batches in total, the weight reached 2424.8 thousand tons, and the value reached 425 million USD, respectively covered 88.32%, 83.32%, and 78.27% of the sum, respectively increased 11.14%, 9.21%, and 17.73% year-on-year. The import granites are 1063 batches, the weight reached 485.5 thousand tons, and the value reached 118 million USD. The value of import granites increased 15.69% year-on-year.
